Winter hiatus

Dear Sage Cigarettes readers & contributors;

Now that spooky season is over & we are onto the darker side of the year, Sage Cigarettes typically takes a two-month break to allow our volunteers flexibility around the holidays.

However, when we moved back to an issue-based publication schedule this year, we had assumed we’d be rallying to put out a winter issue on the winter solstice & have mentioned it in passing in correspondences & on socials.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to go forward with our plans for a winter issue & will instead be shifting our publication schedule in 2025 to the equinoxes — Spring & Fall — meaning our next call will open sometime in February 2025.

We are a volunteer-run, independent literary magazine & though this was a tough call, the wellbeing of our staff comes first. We appreciate the continued support of our readers & contributors & look forward continuing to curate & boost some of the best independent art & literature in 2025.

We wish everyone a happy holiday season & will see you all next year!
