For the last few years at Sage Ciggs, during the month of June, we’ve run the Pride Features. We aim to honor and represent those in the LGBTQIA+ community year-round, but throughout June 2023, we want to ONLY feature and celebrate work from those identifying or belonging to the LGBTQIA+ community. Starting today (Friday, April 28th, 2023), we’re considering work for Pride!
We want to see art, poetry, pop culture, and fiction submissions from the Queer community! Send us your pain and struggle, your glee and joy. The Queer community is rich with creatives, and as a predominantly queer-run lit mag, we want to support the amazing work of the community and hype you to the fullest!
Depending upon department, regular submissions may remain open throughout May and June, and work from all creatives will be considered for publication however only submissions from LGBTQIA+ creatives will be considered for publication in June. To submit your work specifically for Pride month, please include the word “PRIDE” in the subject line of your submission email.
Our Review dept will also be accepting chapbooks, novels, poetry collections, novellas, and CNF books by LGBTQIA+ writers for review or reviews concerning the experiences of queer creatives. Nicole is really excited to see your work, as are we all!
